
Lauren Smart has focused her career on telling the stories of Dallas artists, as both a journalist and a social media and communications consultant.
She handles the communications and social networks of Klyde Warren Park. Her latest work as writer can be seen in Dallas Morning News, Patron magazine, CultureMap Dallas, Arts + Culture magazine, TheaterJones.com, American Theatre magazine, among others.
Lauren earned a master’s degree in Arts Journalism from Syracuse University and bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and English from Southern Methodist University.
While in graduate school Lauren founded an arts criticism website in Central New York, Green Room Reviews.
Lauren enjoys the great outdoors and is constantly on the lookout for something inspiring, from home decor to a new sports bra. Her hobbies include running, biking and something she likes to call ‘patioing’ (sitting on a patio with a cocktail).
