a break up leaves you with too many words for a haiku

heralded by all
respected by a fellow
of little importance

your smile toothy
your shards of heart
lost instance

strength for labor
not for love
sex a penance

ambition fallen
your back, my face
a weighted sentence

prophetic fears
fulfilled in anger
a dimming brilliance

dissatisfaction runs
in a family too close
disguised distance

science of recovery
an unknown art
forgotten valence

seek your peace
semblances rendered
leave an essence
