What I believe is simple.
I like Chick-fil-a food, but I don’t believe in letting someone stuff their politics down my throat from the right or the left.
And I also believe that people who say too much on the Internet should think twice.
In 50 years, your children or their children will be able to look up every hateful thing you say/believe now. Just think if that had been true for the generations before us who went through civil rights movements.
And if you’re curious, I will be standing in line with my friends, my family, my neighbors, my equals at a chicken shop that doesn’t feel the need to discriminate.
Hmmm! What chicken shop would that be?
Just so you know, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Chick-fil-a is a PRIVATE organization, they are NOT a public company. They are not discriminating against gays, they are just saying they don’t support it. Each private company is entitled to distribute their income based on their likings. If everyone supported gay marriage it wouldn’t be such a public debate (which I agree it shouldn’t be in the first place) but why target one organization now? Why not refuse to shop at Target who won’t let the Salvation Army accept donations in front of their stores at Christmas time because they are (and there is proof) trying to avoid gay rights associations that want to partner with Target as well?
